Stores & Inventory Control Supervisor (Sage ERP)

Core Purpose of the Role

To oversee stores operations, ensure accurate stock records in Sage, and independently verify inventory controls and compliance, minimizing losses, variances, and audit risks.

Key Role Components

1. Senior Stores Supervision (Primary)

• • Supervise receiving, storage, issuing, and returns of stock
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately captured in Sage
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and monitor re-order points
  • Lead and validate physical stock counts
  • Enforce SOPs, 5S, and warehouse discipline

2. Inventory Control & Internal Audit (Secondary)

• • Perform independent checks on stock transactions and adjustments
  • Reconcile physical stock vs Sage system balances
  • Review GRNs, issues, transfers, and write-offs for compliance
  • Investigate variances, losses, and process gaps
  • Prepare inventory audit reports and corrective action plans
  • Support external and finance audits with Sage-based evidence

3. Sage ERP Accountability

• • Full responsibility for Sage Inventory module integrity
  • Review audit trails, user activities, and stock adjustments
  • Generate stock valuation, movement, and variance reports

Ideal Candidate Profile

• • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Stores Management, or Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in stores and inventory control
  • Hands-on Sage ERP experience (Inventory + basic GL understanding)
  • Strong control mindset with operational leadership skills
  • Experience supporting internal or external audits
