Technical Operator

Position Summary  

This role is responsible safe and efficient operation of manufacturing machinery. The incumbent will be in charge of ensuring quality standards, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating with team members for seamless production processes.

Key Responsibilities  

• Operate and control machinery involved in spice processing, ensuring that equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Set up machines, perform adjustments, and calibrate equipment according to product specifications and quality standards.
• Monitor the entire production process, ensuring that machinery operates within specified parameters and adjusting as necessary.
• Conduct regular quality checks on spices during production to ensure adherence to quality standards and address any deviations from quality specifications.
• Train new and existing machine operators on efficient ways to operate machines with minimal downtimes and waste generation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with machinery promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines to ensure their ongoing reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations, production output, and any quality control checks performed and deliver reports to the supervisor on the same.
• Work closely with other team members, including production supervisors, quality control personnel, and maintenance staff, to ensure seamless coordination in the production process.
• Help in creation/update and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines for manufacturing to ensure consistency and compliance with industry regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mechanical, production/process or manufacturing engineering. 
• 2-3 years of experience working as a Technical Operator
• FMCG experience is preferred.
• Competence in operating and troubleshooting machinery, understanding technical specifications, and performing routine maintenance.
• Strong understanding of machine components, mechanical systems, and the ability to identify and address mechanical issues.
• Precision in machine setup, monitoring, and quality control to ensure consistent and accurate production
• Ability to work collaboratively with other operators, technicians, and production staff to achieve overall manufacturing objectives.
