Officer II-Trade Finance
Job Purpose:
Processing Remittances TTS and RTGS, Handling Customers queries/ inquiries on trade products and preparing Trade Finance Reports internal and external.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
- Remittance processing of RTGS and telegraphic transfers in SWIFT and the core banking system.
- Preparation of departmental internal and external reports.
- Respond promptly to SWIFT and outward remittance queries to customers and other external parties.
- Departmental email monitoring and taking appropriate action.
- Departmental document management
- Support trade-related projects in collaboration with the IT projects team.
- Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

- Department customer service rating
- Correspondent banks rating
- Trade Finance Audit rating
- Turnaround time as specified
- Efficiency and error free processing of transactions
- Minimized Audit Exceptions/ Regulatory Sanctions
Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any business field
Experience:
- 3 Year experience in Banking
- Basic training in Trade Finance with certification on Trade Finance will be an added advantage
Knowledge:
- Good understanding and Knowledge of all Trade products, ISO20022 Swift Standards and international rules for Trade Finance i.e. UCP 600/URC/ URDG /URR & SWIFT rules and regulations
- Knowledge of current compliance requirements by the regulators, AML/CTF requirements
- Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks
- Thorough knowledge of banking operations and systems, & required service standards
- Thorough understanding of Banking Act and CBK guidelines

- Risk Management & Internal Control Skills within Trade Finance
- Able to work under high pressure and strict deadlines
- Good interpersonal relations
